KIC began with a simple observation lived out in one man’s life: the pulpit and the marketplace are not rivals. They are strands of the same calling.
Bishop Eric D. Garnes has spent his life at the intersection of ministry and business — as Senior Pastor of Tabernacle of Praise in Brooklyn, as a licensed funeral director leading a family firm that serves hundreds of families every year, and as an entrepreneur in film and music. He saw how often ministers and business leaders worked side by side without ever being truly connected.
The Kingdom International Consortium was established with the heart to braid both ministry and business together for the purpose of bringing greater glory to God — gathering churches, para-church ministries, businesses and entrepreneurs into one accountable fellowship shaped by Luke 19:13.
The network grew into an international body of 143 churches, para-church ministries and businesses across North America, the Caribbean and Africa, with Diocesans and ambassadors serving from Florida to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
Kingdom Academia was established to form leaders, and a partnership with Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School opened tuition-discounted pathways from bachelor’s to doctoral study for every Kingdom Partner.
Convergence became the annual gathering of the consortium, and the KIC Way Foundation began putting quality sneakers on the feet of children in less fortunate communities — faith made practical.
Today KIC is building a digital headquarters so that every partner, church and leader — wherever they serve — belongs to one connected, accountable and well-equipped community.
